Paris…La capitale de la mode?!

Oui! Apres ce weed end a Paris, je ne peux pas m’empecher de me demander…Comment peut-on continuer de penser ou dire que Paris est LA capitale de la Mode!? Imaginez vous au Baron, 70m2 de velours rouge et de musique kitch, avec une concentration inouie de marinieres! Biensur on l’avait compris; meme si Jean Paul Gaultier lui a rate son retour, la mariniere, elle, a plus qu’etait remise au gout du jour. Dans tous les magazines comme sur les plateaux TV, on la voit partout; si bien que les magasins de frip en sont remplis. A paris, au lieu de chiner dans des frip pour denicher de nouvelles tendances, on retrouve toutes celles qui existent deja; parfaitement marchandisees comme chez Killiwatch ou on commence par un rayon lingerie et dentelles, puis les annees 80 avec pois et epaulettes; et chez fripstar des marinieres a perte de vue. Mais pour trouver une mariniere, propre et prete a etre portee, vous avez le choix! Zara, Sandro ou encore Maje et j’en passe de meilleurs!

Mais mince le Baron quand meme!!! La boite sensee etre L’ENDROIT le plus branche de Paris!!! Et la, la mariniere aussi! et dans tous ces etats….Demo en images

Du coup je prefere dire bye bye a ma mariniere H&M mais sans regret…10 Euros!

Yes! After this weekend in Paris, I can’t help to ask myself…How can we keep saying or thinking that Paris THE Fashion capital? Picture yourself at ‘Le Baron’, 700 sq ft of red velvet and kitsch music, with an immense concentration of sailor striped tops! Of course, we all understood; even if Jean Paul Gaultier has failed his comeback, the stripey, is more than back in the spotlight. In all the magazines and tv talk shows, we see them everywhere; So much that the vintage stores are now filled with them. In Paris, instead of hunting in Vintage shops to spot out the new trends, we find those that already exist; perfectly merchandised at ‘Killiwatch’ where we start at the lingerie and lace department, then to the 80’s with spots and shoulder pads; then off to ‘Fripstar’ for endless racks of Sailor striped tops. But to find one of those in neat condition, new and ready to wear, you have a lot of choices! ‘Zara’, ‘Sandro’ or even ‘Maje’, and many more!

But come on, ‘Le Baron’!!! This place is supposed to be THE hippest club in Paris!!! and the sailor top too! and in all shapes and sizes….Demo in pics below

Come to think about it, I’d rather say bye to my H&M sailor top, but with no regrets….10 Euros!
