Que vous dire!? Que j’étais en vacances sur une ile déserte ou internet est un mot inconnu…Mais non, même pas! Ca aurait été une super excuse et surtout le rêve pour clore cette belle année!!! Aucune excuse a cette Infidélité! Et oui la cuisine, la famille, les invites…toutes ces choses qui font de moi plus qu’une bloggeuse, une véritable Housewife! mais pas encore desperate !!! : )

En tout cas a Tel Aviv, malgré ce qu’on peut croire, le Réveillon de cette fin d’année est un événement; et pour moi, en charge de l’organisation de ce dernier, vous imaginez la mission que ca a été! Apres un nombre  ( que je n’ai franchement pas compte!) mais très important de refus; ‘ anahnou male sleha’ ( nous sommes ‘complet’ désolé), j’ai finalement réussi!! Vous me trouverez donc au ‘Par Derriere’, dont je vous ai parle dernièrement.

Et pour s’habiller comme il se doit pour l’Occasion!! Une petite pépite de fin d’année, bien sur vintage! Pour une année encore plus vintage, récup’, trendy, pointue, hype…… ‘Rak Chnia’  Géniale idée de nom pour une boutique de vintage puisque ‘yad chnia’ veut dire Second Hand en hébreu et que la phrase préférée de mes concitoyens israéliens c’est quand même ‘Rak chnia’ ou ‘juste une seconde’, phrase accompagne d’un geste mythique de la main droite, qui signifie ‘Attend!!!!’ Ca parle a ceux qui connaissent, pour les autres…ne soyez pas surpris, c’est très irritant! J’ai trouve une merveilleuse combi noire, je vais foncer l’acheter avant demain et je vous la montre  bientôt!

What can I say?! That I was on a holiday on a deserted island where the word internet still doesn’t exist…not even that! It would have been a great excuse and certainly a dream to end this beautiful year!! I have no excuse to this infidelity! Yes, kitchen, family, guests, all these things that make me more than a blogger, a real housewife! although not yet desperate !!!

Anyhow, in Tel Aviv, against all thoughts, the New Year is a big thing! et for me, in charge of making the plans of that evening happen, you must imagine what a mission that was! After a large number of  ‘Sorry, we’re full’ or in local language ‘Anarnou Male Sliha’ I finally did it!! You will therefore find me at ‘Par derriere’ The wine bar I recently mentioned.

And in order to be dressed up for the occasion! A nice nugget for this years end, vintage of course! For a new year that promises to be more vintage, recycled, trendy, on the edge, hype….’Rak Shnia’ Great name for a vintage storesince ‘yad shnia’ in hebrew means second hand and my fellow israelis favorite sentence is ‘Rak Shnia’ meaning ‘just a second’ accompanied with a gesture of the hand which clearly means ‘WAIT’. This will speak to all those familiar with those who know Israel…for the others, don’t be surprised, it extremely frustrating!!! I found a great black allover and I’m rushing back there tomorrow morning to get in time and of course I will show it to all you guys soon!

(Faithful year, I swear!!)

On aimait Jajo ou encore Nana a Nevet Tzedek… Voila aujourd’hui le dernier né des bars a vins, Par Derrière. Cache ‘derriere’ un des ces vieux immeubles de King Georges street, on découvre un merveilleux jardin, a la déco éclectique. Par moments on ne sait plus distinguer ce qui appartient au décor de ce qui appartient au voisinage. Tellement il s’intègre a son environnement on croirait presque a un décor de theatre en regardant les facades intérieures des immeubles alentours.  Par Derrière c’est aussi une véritable expérience gustative, un excellent choix de fromages et un gateau au chocolat qui me fait encore saliver!! Allez y et dites moi ce que vous en avez pense…

We liked Jajo and Nana in Neve Tzedek…let’s welcome today the latest addition to the wine bar list, Par Derriere. Hidden behind one of those old buildings of King George Street, we discover a beautiful garden with an eclectic look. At times, we cannot distinguish what belongs to the bar and what belongs to the neighboring buildings. It has mixed so well with the environment that the surrounding building facades around the courtyard really give a theatre decor feeling. ‘Par Derriere’ is also a great culinary experience, an excellent and complete cheese selection and a chocolate cake that makes me drool!! Go there and let me know what you think…

Il y a des choses qu’on oublie dans son placard et qu’on ressort des annees apres, ou plus!!…On les aime toujours autant, je pense que ce sera longtemps le cas pour mon etole en crochet. Je suis particulierement plus attachee aux pieces que je chine dans des boutiques de Vintage qu’au reste…C’est peut etre parce que ces pieces la je les achete vraiment au coup de coeur, a 100%, meme si je n’en ai pas besoin ou peu (18 degres etant la temperature minimale ici!!), ou meme si la taille n’est pas parfaite…

There are some things that we sometimes forget at the back of our wardrobe and stumble on them after a few years…or more!! We still love them just as much, and I think it will be the case for while especially for my handknit scarf. I stay far more attached to the items I ‘hunt’ in vintage stores than the others…Maybe because I really select them in a heartbeat, at a 100%, even if I barely need them (18 degrees being the coldest it gets here!!), or even if it doesn’t really fit…
