Yes! After this weekend in Paris, I can’t help to ask myself…How can we keep saying or thinking that Paris THE Fashion capital? Picture yourself at ‘Le Baron’, 700 sq ft of red velvet and kitsch music, with an immense concentration of sailor striped tops! Of course, we all understood; even if Jean Paul Gaultier has failed his comeback, the stripey, is more than back in the spotlight. In all the magazines and tv talk shows, we see them everywhere; So much that the vintage stores are now filled with them. In Paris, instead of hunting in Vintage shops to spot out the new trends, we find those that already exist; perfectly merchandised at ‘Killiwatch’ where we start at the lingerie and lace department, then to the 80’s with spots and shoulder pads; then off to ‘Fripstar’ for endless racks of Sailor striped tops. But to find one of those in neat condition, new and ready to wear, you have a lot of choices! ‘Zara’, ‘Sandro’ or even ‘Maje’, and many more!

But come on, ‘Le Baron’!!! This place is supposed to be THE hippest club in Paris!!! and the sailor top too! and in all shapes and sizes….Demo in pics below

Come to think about it, I’d rather say bye to my H&M sailor top, but with no regrets….10 Euros!

La pluie a finallement fait son entree a TLV, et en grandes pompes!! Une semaine chargée se termine, le shooting pour le magazine AT ( le ELLE local!) s’est super bien passe, très excitant d’avoir tout ce beau monde a la maison, photographe, styliste, rédactrice…Mon interview et les photos sortent très prochainement, oui!! le 9 Fev sera une date importante pour Curiously Me et le meilleur cadeau d’anniv’ dont je puisse rever!

Apres cette semaine sous les feux de la rampe, ‘Lazy Week end’ en perspective…. Chillin’ chillin’

The rain has finally made its way to TLV, and in heavy showers!! A very busy week is ending, a photo shoot for the AT Magazine (the local ELLE) was amazing, it was indeed exciting to have all this beautiful crowd at home, photographer, designer, editor….The photos and the article will be out very soon, yes!! February 9th is a very important date for Curiously Me, and the best birthday present I could dream of!

Grande, fine, complètement couverte et pourtant sexy, j’ai aime le look d’Anya Fleet que je ne connaissais pas jusqu’alors. Collants, chaussettes et ptites salomes, j’ai tout particulièrement apprécié ce mélange de poupées anciennes et allure de jeune créateur contemporain monochrome, absence d’imprimés et jeu de volumes et matières. Et finalement c’est exactement la même chose que j’ai ressenti en voyant ses créations.

Tall, slim, all covered up but still sexy, I really liked Anya Fleet’s look who I hadn’t met until now. Tights, Socks, and little ‘Salomes’ I especially enjoyed the mix of vintage dolls and an allure of monochrome young contemporary designer, lack of prints, and the use of volumes. It’s exactly the same feeling I got when I saw her work.
